Westcrowns receive an honourable distinction at UK Training Awards 2008

As announced earlier on this page, The National Training Awards 2008 took place on Thursday 30th October at the Glasgow Hilton Hotel. Westcrowns Contracting Services were nominated in the ‘Partnership and Collaboration’ category*.

After arriving at the glamorous venue, managers of Westcrowns and their guests representing our partners were treated to a drinks reception where the Champagne was flowing and the evening ahead was greatly anticipated. The awards ceremony itself did not get under way until they had finished their fantastic three-course meal. Entertainment was provided throughout the night by comedy star Fred McCauley who proved a great host for the evening.

Bill McBride, Managing Director of Westcrowns Contracting Services, was called on stage to be honourably presented with the Regional Scottish Award in its category.

Congratulations to everyone involved in the Training programmes; i.e. our partners at Routes to Work South, Lanarkshire Scottish Enterprise, South Lanarkshire Council and John Wheatley College; and to all our new recruits.

2008 has been a very successful year and we will hopefully continue to add to our awards cabinet again in the future.
